Who we are
Founded by Hulda and Jermaine Tulloch, Family Affair was first created as a neighborhood restaurant built on the belief that food should feel like home. Today, that same spirit lives on through catering, pop-ups, and food truck experiences that bring bold flavor and warm hospitality directly to the community.
Hulda’s passion for cooking began at a very young age. As the second to last of 16 children from the island of Montserrat, she spent years cooking for and helping care for her large family. In that kitchen she learned that food is more than nourishment—it’s love, tradition, and togetherness. Those early experiences shaped the heart of Family Affair, where every dish reflects the rich flavors of the Caribbean and the comfort of home-cooked meals.
Jermaine brings a unique and dynamic perspective to the business as a true Renaissance man. His journey has taken him from barber, to teacher, to education consultant, always centered around serving and uplifting people. His passion for community, mentorship, and connection shapes the vision of Family Affair as more than just a food business—it’s a way to bring people together.
Together, Hulda and Jermaine share a commitment to global fusion, blending Caribbean roots with flavors and influences from around the world. They believe food should be creative, vibrant, and welcoming—honoring tradition while exploring new tastes and experiences.
